PPC and SEO Marketing
Lead generation is the first stage of sales. A lead is a contact (email, phone number, or LinkedIn profile) of a person who has somehow shown that they are interested in your service. Your goal is to collect as many quality leads as possible so that the sales team can convert them into real buyers.

How are leads generated?

Lead generation is divided into Inbound and Outbound.

Inbound (the client comes to you himself): • SEO and content marketing (a person googles a problem, finds your article, leaves a request) • Lead magnets (free checklist, webinar or audit in exchange for email) • Targeted and search advertising

Outbound (you go to the client): • Cold emails (Cold Email Outreach) • Messages on LinkedIn (Social Selling) • Cold calls

The concept of lead qualification

Not all leads are equally useful. The student who downloaded your coursework PDF is an MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead). But the director of the company who asked for a demo of your product and has a budget is a SQL (Sales Qualified Lead). Marketing's job is to heat MQLs until they become SQLs.
